An instrument that was modified was used to collect data from 122 respondents using a correlational approach. The findings showed that students use a very high degree of reading methods in terms of engagement in the poetry discussions and proficiency in reading comprehension. Meanwhile, the analysis skills in poetry comprehension, understanding, and interpreting poetic language were at a high level.
