Entrepreneurship: A course pack for BTLED students

This course pack has been compiled as a comprehensive learning resource for students from Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) program, with a focus on developing their understanding of Entrepreneurship. This is designed to provide a structured, practical, and accessible guide to foundational concepts in entrepreneurship, from understanding the role of entrepreneurs in socio-economic development to crafting a full-blown business plan. This material is organized into four key modules, Module 1 introduces the role of entrepreneurship in socio-economic development, the key traits of successful entrepreneurs, and the various legal forms of business ownership. Module 2 focuses on the importance of environmental scanning, conducting SWOT analysis, generating product concepts, and creating effective advertisements. Module 3 explores the Business Model Canvas, including its nine building blocks and the steps in completing it. Finally, Module 4 walks students through the structure and significance of a business plan, offering a step-by-step approach to writing both individual sections and a complete business plan. This course pack aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to innovate, take initiative, and succeed in entrepreneurial ventures. It is both a learning tool and a guide to inspire critical thinking, creativity, and practical application throughout the course.
Management of curriculum and instruction: A course pack for MAED-EM students

This course pack has been carefully developed to support graduate students pursuing advanced studies in curriculum development, implementation, and assessment, which are fundamental areas within the field of education. As students prepare to become future leaders, researchers, and practitioners, it is essential that they gain both a deep theoretical understanding and practical skills that will enable them to design and improve curricula in various educational settings. This course pack aims to provide a comprehensive and coherent framework to guide students through these critical aspects of curriculum studies. The course pack is organized into six modules that systematically cover important topics starting from foundational concepts to emerging global innovations in curriculum. The first modules focus on the nature and purpose of curriculum, various approaches to curriculum development, and the design models that inform effective curriculum crafting. Subsequent modules address the implementation phase, highlighting the roles of key stakeholders and the use of technology, followed by detailed coverage of curriculum assessment, including tools and criteria for evaluating curriculum effectiveness. In addition, the later modules emphasize innovation by exploring current trends and practices in curriculum development both locally and globally. These sections encourage students to think critically about how education must evolve in response to societal changes and technological advances. Throughout the course pack, students are prompted to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations, reflect on their responsibilities as curriculum leaders, and engage with challenges that arise in real educational environments.
