    Web-based drug related crimes geospatial data analytics for Digos City police station

    This capstone project presents a web-based geospatial data analytics system designed exclusively for the Digos City Police Station. The technology aims to aid the Digos City Police Station by utilizing a clustered map to visually represent and analyze drug data. The development of the web-based system for the Digos City Police Station significantly enhances visualization capabilities through the implementation of clustered maps and descriptive analytics graphs. These visual tools provide a clearer, more comprehensive representation of drug crime data, enabling the identification of pattern and trends that are crucial for strategic decision-making. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) technique, which ensured a flexible and iterative approach to creating the system. The system is efficiently allows the admin page manage user accounts and the system also has a user logs history feature that allows for effective tracking, clustered maps and descriptive analytics also improves the system's usefulness for law enforcement operations. This system make a big contribution to the police force for its comprehensive understanding of drug-related information, including the distribution of drug cases and arrests across different areas, as well as the yearly trends in drug-related arrests. The good reviews demonstrate the project's effectiveness in achieving its goals, highlighting its significant contribution to enhancing law enforcement capabilities through improved data visualization and analysis

    Web-based fish feeding real-time monitoring system with prototype

    This study aimed to create a monitoring system that can handle the difficulties that monitoring fish feeding in real-time. The lack of real-time monitoring in fish feeding techniques can lead to control the level of feeds easy way to the fish farming monitor the tank level. To solve this problem, the researcher created a web-based fish feeding real-time monitoring system to give the users the resources they needed to maintain the tank level of feeds in fishpond. This system can display and monitor the feeds level, time of feeds distribution, water temperature and ph level. It means that the system effectively monitors fish feeding conditions, aiding outdoor fish farmer in improving their fishpond. Real-time monitoring allow for timely interventions, and collected data supports informed decision-making. Overall, the web-based fish feeding real-time monitoring system presented in this study is a potential answer to the problems of monitoring fish feeding. The system is effective and simple, allowing to the fishpond in Dawis, Digos City to make an easy way to monitor the feeds level, time of feeds distribution, water temperature and ph level conditions.

    Android-based farm data management system with cost and return analysis

    The purpose of the Android-based farm data management system with cost and return analysis is to enhance farm management through a user-friendly mobile application. Farmers often face challenges in effectively managing and analyzing their farm data. The solution provided by this system includes an intuitive interface with customizable reminders, enabling farmers to actively engage in farm management activities. The project, developed and tested in Sitio Mainit, Kapatagan, Digos City, involved farmers directly and included training sessions to ensure effective use. Simple random sampling and descriptive statistical methods, focusing on mean values, were used to evaluate the system's functionality, reliability, and usefulness. The findings validate the system's capability to support farmers in managing their operations efficiently. This implementation has significantly benefited farmers by providing a user-friendly mobile application that allows user to input expenses as well as farm data, ROI calculation, and weather notifications, which give a lot of advantage for users. In addition, the findings and insights gained from this study contribute to advancement of android-based farm data management system with cost and return analysis, offering practical guidance and recommendation in the agriculture and smallholder farmers' sector.

    Development and acceptability of aratiles (Muntingia Calabura) ice cream with moringa and seaweeds

    This study centered in developing aratiles ice cream with moringa and seaweeds utilizing aratiles fruit as the main ingredient of the developed food product. It explores into the formulation of this unique ice cream assessing its appearance, color, odor, palatability and texture. Four (4) experimental treatments and one (1) control treatment were produced and acceptability were tested using likert-point scale and had description rating from not acceptable to most acceptable. The appearance, color, odor, texture and palatability mean ratings for treatment 1 were the greatest, according to the results. Out of the five treatments, treatments 4 had the highest significance for the level of acceptability of aratiles ice cream with moringa and seaweeds. There was no significant difference on the level of acceptability of aratiles ice cream with moringa and seaweeds of five treatments among college students from treatment 1 to 4 and there was a significant difference with the control treatment and there was also no significant difference on the level of acceptability of aratiles ice cream with moringa and seaweed of treatment 1 to 5 among senior high students. Research respondents prefers taste of treatment 1 which aratiles fruit had only 100 grams in measure with a low measure of moringa leaves and eucheuma seaweeds. Aratiles fruit contains large amount of sugar considering its taste, very sweet. With that, an ice cream can be negotiable and would be preferred by consumers whether it has a high amount of sugar or not. Therefore, the combination of aratiles fruit, moringa leaves and eucheuma seaweed was just balanced.

    Exploring the grammatical errors of second year BSED English students

    The purpose of this academic work was to investigate the solecism made by the second year BSED English major students in Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) in writing essay. There were 12 indicators of grammatical errors; those are addition, omission, misinformation, misordering, parallel constructions, verb forms, syntax, diction, subject-verb concord, prepositions, nouns, as well as verb. The research besides suggested to familiarize the rule of grammar and exercise learning activities to help students to action the appropriate forms rightly to raise validity. In this exploration, a descriptive quantitative method was used in the accompany of adopted questionnaire. A total of ninety-one English students participated in the study. In the results, participants emphasized that grammatical errors significantly impact its quality and readability, and requires substantial revision.

    Lived experiences of Filipino English as Second Language (ESL) teachers in teaching Asian non-native English speakers

    This qualitative study delves into the experiences of Filipino ESL teachers in Digos City, Philippines, as they teach Asian non-native English speakers. Through interview with 8 teachers, themes like Pedagogical Encounter, Linguistic Diversity, and Conscious Dialogue are explored, revealing challenges and strategies in language instruction. The findings emphasize the significance of culturally responsive teaching practices and respectful communication to foster cross-cultural understanding. Moreover, common English proficiency mistakes among Asian learners are identified, alongside effective teaching strategies like Engagement Exercise and Multimodal learning. The study offers insight for ESL practitioners and policymakers to improve language education.

    Exploring the language barrier in teaching English of non-indigenous teachers assigned in indigenous communities

    The main goal of this thesis paper was to unravel the language barrier in teaching English of non-indigenous teachers assigned in indigenous teachers communities, specifically non-IP teachers participated in the study. All of them are working as a teacher in Barangay Bitaug, a community for indigenous people. Language support, collaborative learning, cultural sensitivity, language development programs, inclusive classrooms, and community collaboration are all required to address the language issues experienced by non-indigenous communities. From the result of the study, it generally suggest that teachers may have professional development opportunities that centers on sensitivity about culture, indigenous language acquisition, and inclusive teaching practices. The data was gathered by the researcher using a self-made research and a qualitative-phenomenological design.

    Exploring the effects of reading habits to the academic performance of grade 11 students

    This study explored the correlation between students' reading habits and their academic performance. Through comprehensive research and analysis, it aimed to uncover the influence of factors such as the home environment, attitudes and values, and reading frequency on students' reading habits, as well as their effect on academic performance and educational outcomes. The findings offered valuable insights for educators and policymakers, aiding in the development of strategies that fostered effective reading habits and ultimately led to improved students' academic achievements.

    Beliefs and strategies in language learning among secondary students

    This study was conducted to determine the relationship of beliefs in language learning and language learning strategies among secondary students of Serapion C. Basalo Memorial Colleges. This study found out some conclusions that obtained the objectives of the study, it includes first the significant difference to the level of beliefs in language learning in terms of gender and year level. Quite similar in terms of language learning strategies when categorized to gender were dominated by female. It also revealed that meta-cognitive strategies were utilized compared to cognitive strategies. Moreover, the study had revealed that there was a significant relationship between the beliefs in language and strategies, supported that higher level of students does not reflect that they utilized.

    Poetry reading strategies and comprehension skills of grade 9 SPA students

    The research was intended to determine the relationship between poetry reading strategies and comprehension skills among the grade 9 SPA students at Digos City National High School. An instrument that was modified was used to collect data from 122 respondents using a correlational approach. The findings showed that students use a very high degree of reading methods in terms of engagement in the poetry discussions and proficiency in reading comprehension. Meanwhile, the analysis skills in poetry comprehension, understanding, and interpreting poetic language were at a high level. However, no significant relationships were found with other strategies and skills.
