Item The influence of study habits and learning interest on the mathematics performance of indigenous studentsPangandoyon, Bincard V. (Davao del Sur State College, 2024-04)The main goal of this study was to determine the level of influence of study habits and learning interest on the mathematics performance of indigenous students of the Grade 9 indigenous students in Sinawilan National High School. This research study used a descriptive-correlation research design. The study was conducted with a total of 65 respondents from all the 9 indigenous students who are currently enrolled for the academic year 2022-2023. The instruments that were used by the researcher in gathering data dealt with the level of influence of study habits and learning interest on the mathematics performance on the mathematics performance of indigenous students. Results revealed that the Grade 9 indigenous students' level of study habits and learning interest is high and low, study habits obtain an overall mean of 3.52 and learning interest obtain an overall mean of 2.98. There is a significant relationship between study habits and learning interest on mathematics performance. Also, the domain that most influences mathematics performance are the home environment and motivation. It was found that the Grade 9 indigenous students in Sinawilan National High School experienced a high level of study habits and learning interest which influences their mathematics performance. Future research may be undertaken covering another set of respondents to determine their level of mathematics performance, and can use other variables that were not used in the study.Item Factors that affects mathematics performance of SHS studentsBayo, Evon Nioneth G. (Davao del Sur State College, 2024-03)This descriptive correlational study examined the relationship of student-related factors and teacher-related factors towards the performance of SHS students in Mathematics in Matti National High School to obtain the data, one hundred thirty (130) respondents were selected using stratified random sampling technique. Result revealed that the level of student -Related Factors of SHS Students was 3.59 and described as high and the Level of Teacher -Related Factors of SHS Students was 3.65 and described as high. On the other hand the Mathematics Performance of SHS Students was 88.58 and describes as very satisfactory. In addition , with a p-value of 0.888, there is no significant relation between Students-Related Factors and the mathematics Performance of SHS students. Also, with a p- valve of 0.632,there is no significant relation between Teacher -Related Factors and the Mathematics Performance of SHS students.
